'Eating Together — The Design of Sharing Food in a Connected World' is a research project that examines cultures, objects and spaces that reflect upon how we share food as consumers by writers Justin Zhuang and Sheere Ng of In Plain Words. The project produces an essay book, a postcard collection, and an exhibition held in conjunction with Foodcine.ma.
Idea As the authors are prolific writer themselves, we conceptualised the project identity in pure typographic style, by reappropriate language punctuations as 'connecting' symbols for various conceptual means in food sharing.
Postcards The postcards showcase the well-known local food. To house the postcard deck, we repurposed the popular take-away plastic bags for coffee shop drink, both cost-effective and contextually relevant, as the packaging.
